ALEXIA MAHR, M.S. Ed, LPC
As a therapist, I am a firm believer that positive change is always possible.
My role as your therapist is to be a fellow traveler on your journey to help guide and support you as needed. I provide a holistic approach that looks at the clients at a whole.
My goal is to cultivate a safe space for clients to process experiences and explore goals. I utilize an eclectic approach that is geared towards client needs and growth areas.
My main therapeutic modalities are centered around dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy.
I have 10 years of field experience in private practice, hospitals, outpatient mental health agencies, and in home therapy with youth. During this time, I have worked with clients with a wide range of diagnoses and ages. My main clinical background has been focused around marriage, couples and family work, sexual health related issues, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am a licensed practicing therapist. I received my master’s from Duquesne University in 2018 in counseling with a specialization in marriage, couples, and family.
In my downtime I am an advocate, a travel bug, and fur mom!
I look forward to helping you to reach your goals and create the life you deserve. Contact me today to start your healing journey!
